Ewood Park co-owner makes clearly incorrect statement.
Under fire Blackburn boss Steve Kean has been given a vote of confidence by the club’s co-owner Balaji Rao described him as a ‘brilliant manager’.
Speaking on the day that Blackburn beat Pune 3-0 in a friendly in India on Friday in which Jason Roberts scored twice and Ruben Rochina got one, Rao said those calling for Kean to be sacked were in the minority and that Venky’s had no concern about the club’s current position in the relegation zone.
The Scottish boss has one just six of his 28 Premier League games since taking charge in December last year and there have been marches and protests in the ground calling for him to be sacked.
But Rao said: ‘The team is in the relegation zone right now, but it is going to come up I am sure of that.
‘We do know that a few people have been generating thousands of mails demanding the ousting of current manager Steve Kean, who is a brilliant manager.
‘But we know the team is going in the right direction and we are very positive about the way the team is performing and the way it is going.’

Are we missing something? How can anyone truly claim that Steve Kean is a ‘brilliant’ manager, hell even if someone described the Scot as a ‘decent’ manager then I would suggest they seek medical help immediately. The Blackburn Rovers record since taking over at Ewood Park speaks for itself.
Kean has collected six wins and 14 defeats from 28 Premier League fixtures, this is a record so bad that it is a wonder that the 44 year old Glaswegian has managed to survive this long.
Also the claim from Mr. Rao that the Lancashire club are going in the right direction must confuse many who would consider relegation to the Championship as a ‘bad’ thing. If there is any sense in the world then Steve Kean will be out on his ear before the New Year.
