Highest paid footballer on planet dismisses San Siro return.
Anzhi Makhachkala striker Samuel Eto’o insists he will not return to Inter Milan this January but could move to Paris St Germain.
The 30-year-old wants a return to a top flight club in January on-loan in order to keep up his during the winter break in Russia.
The Cameroon international left Inter last summer in a £23.5million move but was linked with a temporary move back.
The deal was set to mirror the one David Beckham had when he moved to AC Milan during the MLS off-season, but Eto’o will now look elsewhere.
“When I left Italy they criticized me,” Eto’o told French TV channel Canal Plus. “But I am convinced I made the right choice. At the moment I’m very happy in Russia.”
Eto’o says he would consider a transfer to PSG, adding: “If the chance comes up, we’ll see. What’s important is to feel good in what you’re doing.”
Meanwhile, Inter defender Maicon has been ruled out for a month with a thigh muscle strain he suffered during the 2-1 defeat to Juventus.
The Brazilian scored the equaliser for his team and played the whole 90 minutes but will now miss Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Lille and next weekend’s Serie A visit to Genoa.
