Old Trafford boss keeping tabs on Bernabeu attacker.
According to reports Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is keeping tabs on Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria.
Ferguson is believed to be big admirer of the midfielder who joined Real from Benfica.
Di Maria is believed to be unhappy about the lack of progress over new contract talks at Real.
Ferguson is exploring the prospect of adding a new winger to his squad, with no wide players – Robbie Brady apart – coming through his youth system.

This would be something of a shock move by Man United, not least because Sir Alex Ferguson has a number of wide options available to him at present. However reports that Angel Di Maria may be unhappy at Real Madrid are growing but one would have to wonder why the Argentine would be displeased, he is after all a regular at the Bernabeu so not sure why the talented wideman would be having problems with the La Liga giants.
Di Maria had a good first season with Real last term following his £22m arrival from Benfica, notching up over 50 appearances in all competitions and becoming a veritable assist maching, laying on 20 for his team-mates. The 23 year old was one of the first players Jose Mourinho snapped up when he arrived at the club and is clearly a player he values.
Ferguson may be an admirer of Di Maria but he has the likes of Ashley Young, Luis Antonio Valencia and Nani to call upon, not forgetting that Ryan Giggs still has something in the tank if needed to revert back to his wide role.
If Manchester United are to make additions to their squad it seems more likely these would be to back up a defence that has been a little leaky this term.
