Bernabeu boss wants Anfield star…really?
REAL MADRID plan to look into January moves for Carlos Tevez and Glen Johnson.
Boss Jose Mourinho met club president Florentino Perez on Friday and outlined the need for a forward and defender.
Manchester City’s Tevez is of interest but any deal would be in the form of a subsidised loan.
And they may turn to Liverpool defender Johnson as they look for back up for Spanish international Alvaro Arbeloa.
Ajax full-back Gregory van der Wiel also interests them, but would not be allowed to move until the end of the season, so Madrid have added Johnson to their options.

This would be most surprising. Jose Mourinho has seen his Real Madrid side start the season very well and the Bernabeu boss would appear to have a fairly expansive squad, so why would he move to bring Liverpool right back Glen Johnson to the club?
As far as right backs are concerned the La Liga giants have Alvaro Arbeloa as their first choice and can also call upon Sergio Ramos, who this season has been employed as a centre back, so there doesn’t appear to be a pressing need to strengthen that area at all.
Johnson has had an up and down season this term and was fairly poor for large chunks of the last campaign, when he found his place under threat from impressive youngster Martin Kelly. The 27 year old has also had some injury concerns over the past 18 months and one would have to wonder why Mourinho would consider such a move.
Indeed when Mourinho was Chelsea boss he didn’t pick Johnson all that often and in fact happily sold the England international to Portsmouth a month before he quit the West London club.
