Police called in to investigate threats to Loftus Road centre back.
QPR centre back Anton Ferdinand is reportedly the target of death threats that the police have taken seriously enough to encourage the defender to fit a panic alarm at his house.
The 26 year old is embroiled in an investigation that followed accusations that England and Chelsea captain John Terry racially abused the former West Ham and Sunderland man during a match at Loftus Road two weeks ago.
The sickening letter was delivered to QPR’s ground by hand last week and the club’s bosses decided to not show Anton the letter as the level of detail would have deeply worried Ferdinand and acted to bring in the police to investigate the issue.
John Terry has been called up by England boss Fabio Capello for the forthcoming friendlies with Spain and Sweden and the FA and police investigations into the alleged racist abuse is ongoing.
