Arsene Wenger looks to clear out Emirates Stadium deadwood.
Arsenal will listen to offers for flop Sebastien Squillaci in January as manager Arsene Wenger forges ahead with his squad clear out.
The summer signing of Per Mertesacker has seen the France defender drop to fifth choice centre half.
Arsenal will let Squillaci, 31, leave the Emirates on loan, or in a permanent deal in the region of £2million.
Misfiring striker Marouane Chamakh, 27, has also be told he can leave the club in the new year after failing to recapture his early season form.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger appears to have lost patience with this pair of purchases that arrived at the North London club last summer. The duo were brought in to strengthen the club’s defence and attack and have instead failed to adapt to life in the Premier League.
Moroccan international Marouane Chamakh arrived on a free after steadily improving during seven years in the Bordeaux first team and the 27 year old got off to a terrific start scoring regularly and looking like he would be a useful back up to Robin Van Persie. Indeed he got a strong run in the first team because the Dutchman was experiencing one of his all to frequent injury lay-offs.
However Chamakh has experienced a big drop in form and after netting ten goals by last November he has now managed just two goals in a year. There is talk of a return to Ligue 1 where his former club Bordeaux and PSG are said to be interested and Arsenal should be able to get around £7m for his services.
Sebastien Squillaci has been an even bigger flop. The experienced French international was brought in to beef up options at the back last summer and has always looked off the pace and in some ways his poor form did at one point seem to rub off on Laurent Koscielny, however the Lorient man has improved markedly this season whilst alongside Per Mertesacker and it seems that the 31 year old former Sevilla man is likely to be sold the moment a decent offer for his services comes in.
