Anfield boss to make wise offer.
Joe Cole is growing more excited about a long term stay in France – a fact could be the key to Liverpool’s immediate transfer plans.
If Cole sticks with Lille beyond his current loan spell with the title-challenging club, he could be a useful bargaining chip in any bid to prise Eden Hazard, one of the hottest properties in Europe, away from the same club.
The Anfield outcast is increasingly influential at Lille and, after an outstanding midweek performance to put them in sight of qualification for the knock out stages of the Champions League, they want him to stay.
President Michel Seydoux has been impressed with the way the English midfielder has settled into life in northern France.

This could be a clever bit of business, provided Eden Hazard is interested in a move to Anfield, something that becomes more plausible if the Merseyside club secure a Champions League spot for next term.
Rudi Garcia will have been impressed with the way Joe Cole has adapted immediately to life in Ligue 1 and could in many ways act as a replacement for the club’s prized asset.
The former Chelsea man had a nightmare first season at Anfield and took the option of a move to France and hasn’t looked back since. The 30 year old has been a big hit at the Stade Metropole and has said he would consider a permanent move to Lille if such a move pans out.
Eden Hazard has become of the hottest prospects in Europe and the Belgian international is a target for many of Europe’s elite. The 20 year old attacking midfielder may well be Kenny Dalglish’s ideal target to act as a long term replacement for Steven Gerrard who has missed most of the current campaign with injury.
Though Dalglish brought in the likes of Jordan Henderson, Charlie Adam and Stewart Downing to improve his strength in depth in the midfield and on the wings, there is no doubt that Hazard would be a top notch addition if indeed Liverpool can use Joe Cole to act as a makeweight in a deal to land the £25m rated youngster.
