Young players of real quality that should be on Arsene Wenger’s Emirates Stadium radar.
Arsene Wenger is of course well known for his fostering of youthful talent and his willing to trust youngsters with first team action. With that in mind, here are ten players he should have on his wish-list and that he should consider making moves to sign in the near future.
Clearly the Gunners boss needs no lesson in spotting talent as the Frenchman has brought in a great many teenage performers who he has honed into household names. In his current Arsenal squad he has plenty of quality players he snapped up as an impressionable age, players like Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott, Wojciech Szczesny, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Carl Jenkinson. All brought in as teenagers and now members of the North London club’s first team squad.
Couple these signings with those he has nurtured through the club’s academy, player such as Jack Wilshere, Kieran Gibbs and Emmanuel Frimpong and you can see why Wenger has a reputation as being a great developer of talent.
So perhaps he can work his magic with these ten?
10. Christian Eriksen (Ajax)
The Dane is a great young prospect but could cost an arm and a leg.
