Stamford Bridge star on his way to China.
Striker Nicolas Anelka will join Shanghai Shenua in January on a two-year contract after the Chinese club agreed a deal with Chelsea.
The 32-year-old was Avram Grant’s first signing at Stamford Bridge in January 2008 and has scored 59 goals in 185 appearances for the London club.
His contract with Chelsea runs out in the summer and he had a transfer request accepted last week.
Shenua have already put a picture of Anelka on the front of their website.

Whilst there is no doubt that it was the right time for Nicolas Anelka to leave Chelsea it is still a brave step to make a move to China, to a football league that is not exactly high-profile and it appears that the the Chinese Super League side are hoping that the Frenchman can become the poster boy for the club in much the same way David Beckham did at the LA Galaxy.
The 32 year old still has a lot in the tank and is fit and healthy and not a player who suffers with lengthy injuries so will be looking to make the most of his two years in Shanghai.
