Villa Park boss planning January swoop.
Aston Villa are moving for Fulham winger Damien Duff.
The Mirror says Villa boss Alex McLeish is plotting a surprise raid for the Republic of Ireland wide man and he could be available for around £1.5 million in the window.
Blackburn Rovers midfielder Keith Andrews is a target for Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish.
The Mirror says McLeish is trying to perform some financial juggling and is also considering some possible free transfer arrivals, including Rovers misfit Andrews.
Republic of Ireland midfielder Andrews has been on loan at Ipswich but his advisers are looking to find him a new home – without a transfer fee.

Alex McLeish could do with added more strength in depth to his Villa Park squad who have struggled in recent weeks after a fairly solid start to the campaign. The Aston Villa boss will hope that this pair of Irish internationals will be keen to join their international team-mates Shay Given and Richard Dunne at the Midlands club.
Keith Andrews has been enjoying his time at Ipswich Town where he has been a big success, netting nine goals in 18 matches and has garnered a lot of interest in the process. Blackburn Rovers are unlikely to allow the 31 year old to leave for nothing and it may take a bid of £1m or so to persuade Steve Kean to sell.
Damien Duff has been in and out of the Fulham starting eleven and may well be tempted by a move to Aston Villa where he may feel he can reignite his career ahead of the Euro 2012 finals. The 32 year old would have to fight hard to get regular first team football at Villa Park though as Charles N’Zogbia and Gabriel Agbonlahor are regulars on the flanks with Darren Bent playing through the middle up front.
