Old Trafford target could be available to buy this month.
Inter Milan are prepared to sell Wesley Sneijder this month for £25 million.
The People says Inter will sell Sneijder to any club this month who meets their £25million valuation.
But the Italians do not expect to hear from Manchester United after they failed to make the knockout stages of the Champions League.
Chelsea could be keen, while United cannot be discounted given their lack of creativity in midfield.
Inter president Massimo Moratti has met with the Dutchman’s agent, Soren Lerby, and told him his client will be allowed to leave if the asking price is met.
Sir Alex Ferguson stated that he wouldn’t make any additions to his Old Trafford squad in January unless a top class player was made available for the right price. Now there comes speculation that Dutch playmaker Wesley Sneijder can be allowed to leave the San Siro, so long as Inter Milan’s £25m valuation is met. So putting two and two together you could be forgiven for thinking this could well be Man United’s cue to put in an offer.
The Scot is known to admire Sneijder and has a number of his midfield sidelined, the likes of Tom Cleverley and Darren Fletcher out injured and sick respectively, and Anderson has only just made a return from being out himself.
The 27 year old Inter Milan man would add some much needed creativity to the Man United ranks and is undoubtedly a quality player who could make an impact in the Premier League. The time may be right for the move as Sir Alex Ferguson is looking to keep close to leaders Man City and the signing of such a high profile player would indeed be a statement of intent.
