White Hart Lane boss keen on Craven Cottage man.
Harry Redknapp is prepared to wait until the summer to sign Fulham striker Moussa Dembele.
The Tottenham boss could offer cash plus midfielder Niko Kranjcar for the Belgian, 24, who is valued at £10million.
Dembele has scored just one goal this season, in a 2-0 win at Wigan at the end of November, but Redknapp rates him highly because of his work rate and unselfishness.
Indeed, Dembele was recently described as the most underrated player in the Premier League by Manchester City defender, and fellow Belgian, Vincent Kompany.

A number of sides are said to be keen on in form Fulham man Moussa Dembele and Harry Redknapp clearly can afford to use Niko Kranjcar as part of any deal as the talented Croatian is very much surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane.
Dembele has impressed this term in an advanced central midfield role though one would imagine that Redknapp would be looking to use the Belgian international in a striking role as the Tottenham boss has more than enough creative midfield talents to choose from.
Martin Jol will be loathed to lose one of his top performers to his former club, not least because there is growing speculation that strikers Andy Johnson and Bobby Zamora both want to make Craven Cottage exits.
