Old Trafford man makes Goodison Park move.
Everton have signed Manchester United midfielder Darron Gibson for an undisclosed fee.
Gibson has inked a four-and-a-half-year deal at Goodison Parkafter agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.
The 24-year-old is Everton’s second signing of this month’s transfer window following the arrival of Landon Donovan back at Goodison Park on loan from LA Galaxy.
Gibson found himself well down the pecking order at Old Trafford in the last 18 months and has made just two appearances in the first-team this season.

Gibson follows other former Old Trafford stars Tim Howard, Phil Neville and Louis Saha at Goodison Park and is believed to have cost David Moyes around £3.5m and could prove a very useful signing. Whilst the Irish international didn’t come up to standard at Man United and Sir Alex Ferguson appeared to have lost faith in the 24 year old following the infamous Boxing Day meal with Wayne Rooney.
Sunderland came close to landing the midfielder in the summer but apparently then boss Steve Bruce could not agree terms and since then Darron Gibson has failed to break into Man United’s first team plans and no doubt the Derry born will hope for regular football ahead of the Euro 2012 finals.
