Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge camps wage war over Lucas Ocampos.
River Plate starlet Lucas Ocampos is the subject of a transfer battle between Manchester United, Chelsea and Inter Milan, according to FIFA.com.
The 17 year-old winger, who has earned comparisons with Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of both playing style and build, has taken to first team football with his club like a duck to water.
His River Plate performances follow some sterling work at international level.
Last summer, he played some sensational football at the FIFA U17 World Cup, and is tipped for big things.
River Plate are well aware of Ocampos’ potential though, and have assigned a high value to their player in an attempt to ward off potential.
In December, vice president Diegoe Turnes claimed the club had rejected a £15m offer from Internazionale, and indicated that he did not want to lose his player in the January transfer window.
“We have had offers from Italy and England but the kid will not leave the club.”
Perhaps in the summer he could be more receptive to offers.
