Mario Balotelli unlikely to leave Etihad Stadium at present.
Mario Balotelli is set to stay at Manchester City, despite regular rumours linking him with a transfer to AC Milan.
Balotelli of course used to play for the Rossoneri’s arch rivals Internazionale, but was once pictured on Italian television in the famous red and black shirt and admitted he was a fan, which naturally drew much criticism at the time.
Indeed, there are plenty of stories to be found wherever Balotelli goes, but the Italy international striker feels quite content playing his football at the Etihad Stadium at present.
“Mario has no intention of leaving City,” Balotelli’s representative Mino Raiola said to Sky Sport Italia.
“He has started to understand certain systems on how to get along there.
“Strangely for him, he is admitting that Manchester isn’t as bad as he thought or said.
“Is Milan a better city? It depends on your point of view, but right now Manchester is better for him.”
One of the factors in Balotelli’s desire to remain in Lancashire may well be Man City manager Roberto Mancini.
The Italian boss is something of a father figure to Balotelli, and has regularly stated how much potential he believes the young forward has – even comparing him to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
He trusts Balotelli ahead of Edin Dzeko to play in front of Sergio Aguero up top, and it may be this relationship that keeps Balotelli at Eastlands.
