Loftus Road and St James’ Park sides keen on Old Trafford teen.
Just days after Newcastle United had a £500,000 offer for the Manchester United midfielder rejected, QPR are ready to throw their hat into the mix to sign Ravel Morrison.
The youngster was involved in heavy controversy last week after it was reported that the player had stalled on his contract negotiations as he was believed to be holding out for a salary that the club were unwilling to pay.
A similar story has emerged around Danny Welbeck who is understood to be seeking wages of £60,000, however his loyalty is somewhat more valued by United and they are bound to budge more for his commitment.
Despite this news that was backed up by Sir Alex Ferguson, Morrison has insisted through a series of tweets that he has never rebuffed a contract offer from the Red Devils and that he is adamant to remain at United.
The Magpies are said to be readying a new offer of £1m but QPR are preparing an offer of identical value.
It’s no surprise that Premier League sides would take an interest in Ravel Morrison as the Man United midfielder has shown great potential in the reserves and it does appear that speculation about an Old Trafford exit are growing by the day. Some reports suggest that the teenager has made demands that Sir Alex Ferguson is unwilling to meet and that there is also interest from abroad, most notably from Roma.
Morrison is thought to be keen on securing first team football and will surely be tempted by moves to either QPR or Newcastle United. Mark Hughes has been handed a big transfer war-chest by chairman Tony Fernandes as he looks to push the West London side away from the drop zone.
Alan Pardew saw his Magpies side thrashed 5-2 on the weekend but have on the whole had a terrific Premier League campaign thus far and may see the capture of Morrison as a way of building for the future and an inexpensive capture owner Mike Ashley would have no problem sanctioning.
