Loftus Road boss keen on French international
QPR have launched a £5million bid to bring Djibril Cisse back to England from Lazio.
The one-time Lord of the Manor of Frodsham could be heading back to the Barclays Premier League after Lazio reluctantly agreed to make him available.
Cisse, who inherited the title after paying £2million for a mansion overlooking the River Mersey during his time at Liverpool, is keen to have one more crack at English football.
He scored against AC Milan in the Coppa Italia on Thursday.
QPR transfers advisor, Gianni Di Marzio, said: ‘Cisse is a good player, maybe he hasn’t settled in Rome. If he comes to QPR, we will welcome him with open arms.’

30 year old French international Cisse had a tough time of it during his last stint in the Premier League, where injury ruined his two year spell at Liverpool and led to a move to Marseille where the big striker got his career back on track before an average season on loan at Sunderland.
The former Auxerre man then opted for a move to Panathinaikos which proved hugely successful, with Cisse netting 55 goals in two seasons, helping the Athens side to a domestic double in his first season at the club. However a summer move to Lazio has failed to spark and a move back to England may well suit the forward.
Mark Hughes needs some extra firepower as he looks to be keep his Loftus Road side above the drop zone, with the West London side managing just 22 goals from 22 games.
Indeed if you take top scorer Heidar Helguson out of the equation, the Icelandic international netting eight Premier League goals, the next highest scorer this term has just two goals, such is the lack of a cutting edge up front for the Super Hoops.
QPR chairman Tony Fernandes has already stumped up the cash to sign Man City defender Nedum Onouha this month and is likely to hand Hughes whatever funds he needs in order to keep the newly promoted side in the English top tier.
