Defender’s twin set for Ewood Park switch.
Blackburn Rovers look set to agree a deal for Swedish midfielder Marcus Olsson – who incredibly is current Ewood Park star Martin Olsson’s brother.
The wide player has signed a two and a half year deal with the Barclays Premier League battlers, and is understandably delighted to join his brother in Lancashire.
“It is great fun for Marcus, he is very happy about this,” smiled Olsson’s agent Hasan Cetinkaya to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet.
“He goes from a club that would play in the BBL to the world’s best league.”
“My brother got the shock of his life when he heard,” Olsson confirmed to Sportbladet.
“I was there [in Blackburn] for a training session and we just laughed about being on the same pitch again.”
We would like to see a match between Blackburn Rovers and Manchester United with Martin and Marcus Olsson facing the Red Devils’ Brazilian twins Rafael and Fabio da Silva.
Preferably with David Pleat providing co-commentary.
Is Marcus Olsson the man to help Blackburn Rovers out of their relegation scrap?
