Genk winger will be at Stamford Bridge from the summer.
Chelsea have completed the signing of KRC Genk winger Kevin de Bruyne, with the young Belgian set to rejoin his former side on loan immediately.
De Bruyne will stay at Genk until the summer, and will begin his career at Stamford Bridge from next season.
With a couple of eye-catching performances against Andre Villas-Boas’ team in the UEFA Champions League, de Bruyne looks set to have sealed his transfer to West London.
A statement on Genk’s website read that de Bruyne, who is 20 years of age, actually signed his contract after midnight last night.
Genk directors Gunter Jacob and Dirk Degraen will hold a press conference tomorrow to discuss the deal, with de Bruyne set to explain the reasons behind his departure shortly afterwards.
The fee is thought to be around the £7m mark.
