Juventus want to revitalise their squad in the summer with moves for Manchester United winger Nani and reported Chelsea target Gonzalo Higuain.

The Italian club have been tracking Portugal winger Nani for some time but United have had no interest in parting with the 25-year-old.

According to Italian paper Tuttosport, Juve’s manager Antonio Conte has told the club’s directors to do all they can to complete the ambitious double signing.

Whilst it’s true that Luis Antonio Valencia’s great form on the right could lead to the currently injured Nani from finding it hard to get a spot back on the right hand side of the Man United attack, Sir Alex Ferguson will be sure to fight to keep the Portuguese international at the club, not least as on the left the 25 year old can be perhaps even more effective.

Last term the former Sporting Lisbon man finished as the Premier League’s leading assist maker with 18 but Nani must have been reeling after being left out of Man United’s starting eleven for the Champions League Final with Barcelona at Wembley, nonetheless the winger came back renewed after the summer and was a virtual ever present before the injury he suffered during the club’s 2-1 win at the Emirates Stadium.

Nani has managed to step out of Cristiano Ronaldo’s shadow and has come on leaps and bounds since his national team colleague left for Real Madrid and it’s no surprise that prospective suitors would be keen on his services.

Juventus are in great form, unbeaten in Serie A and just two points behind leaders AC Milan and with two games in hand and this resurgence, following back to back seventh place finishes, will give new boss Antonio Conte more chance of bringing in big name stars but he may have his work cut out landing this particular big fish.

Hopes of signing Gonzalo Higuain will increase if Jose Mourinho brings in a big name striker signing this summer.
