Old Trafford boss keen on Amsterdam based duo.
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is keeping tabs on another Ajax starlet in Viktor Fischer. The Reds manager is already considering a £15m summer move for Danish playmaker Christian Eriksen. But he is interested in teen sensation Fischer, who is so highly-rated by the Dutch giants. The 17-year-old midfielder signed for Ajax last April after spending his early development at FC Midtjylland.

Having been heavily linked with potential moves for big money signings Luka Modric, Wesley Sneijder and Nicolas Gaitan it may be that Sir Alex Ferguson opts to spend his transfer budget more carefully and with the long term approach to Old Trafford squad building over the spending of huge sums on more experienced additions.
20 year old playmaker Christian Eriksen is considered one of the hottest prospects in European football and the Danish international has already amassed over 100 appearances for club and country and helped his Ajax side to a much needed Eredivisie title last term, the first the club have won in six years.
Now Ferguson is being linked to teenager Viktor Fischer, another Dane, and this has led to speculation that the Scot will look to nab the pair this summer as he continues to bring in the best young talent from around the world to populate a squad that is in something of a period of transition.
With Edwin Van der Sar, Gary Neville and Paul Scholes all calling it a day at the end of last season, although clearly Scholes opted to make a return to the club, and with Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand also getting on in years Ferguson is seeing his ‘old guard’ coming towards the end of their careers and as such has planned accordingly. He also sold squad regulars John O’Shea, Wes Brown and Darron Gibson to clear space for new arrivals.
The Man United boss brought in the likes of Javier Hernandez, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and David de Gea and gave more first team time to academy graduates likes Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley as he looks to build for the future.
A move for this Ajax pair would appear to be an attempt to continue this more cost effective approach to squad re-building.
