Etihad Stadium makes long awaited apology.
Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has apologised for his recent conduct following his touchline row with manager Roberto Mancini in September.
The 28-year-old returned to the club last week , following a self-imposed, three-month exile in Argentina.
“I wish to apologise sincerely and unreservedly to everybody I have let down and to whom my actions have caused offence,” Tevez said in a statement.
He has also withdrawn his appeal against the club’s misconduct charge.
“My wish is to concentrate on playing football for Manchester City Football Club,” he added.

So is that enough? Do Man City fans want to see the Argentine don the strip again and get back on the field of play? Well there is no doubting the ability that the 28 year old possesses and his record in the Premier League speaks for itself, hell last term he finished as the joint top scorer in the English top tier but is he needed?
Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Mario Balotelli have scored regularly and there will be some who feel that Tevez’s return at this crucial point in the season could act as a disruptive influence in a dressing room that is at harmony at present.
Roberto Mancini no doubt still wants to sell the former West Ham and Man United man but perhaps feels that any prospective suitors will need to see him in action before making an offer this summer.
