Old Trafford boss linked with move for Serie A attacker.
Manchester United are among the Premier League clubs watching Torino’s attacking midfielder Alen Stevanovic.
The 21-year-old was once likened to Cristiano Ronaldo by Arsenal scouts when they watched him developing at Inter Milan.
Torino are willing to sell for around £6million and that has got United and their Premier League rivals, with all of the top six represented at recent games, ready to bid.

It’s always dangerous when a young talent is compared to an established star, something a player’s agent is fairly skilled at performing, but by all accounts Alen Stevanovic is a wanted man. The Swiss born Serbian Under 21 international benefited greatly by a spell out on loan in the MLS with Toronto FC and has returned to Torino a much more effective performer, leading to a great deal of interest in his services.
Sir Alex Ferguson has adopted a youthful transfer policy and appears to have his scouts working all around the clock to pick up new additions that can prove as immediately successful as the likes of Javier Hernandez, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones.
It is worth noting that with three goals in 33 matches for Serie B side Torino, it doesn’t appear that comparisons with Cristiano Ronaldo relate to Stevanovic’s goal-scoring prowess.
The Zurich born youngster had a short spell at Inter Milan before being sold to Torino and has slowly but surely matured at the Turin club but whether a move to Man United is on the cards is another matter entirely.
