Nou Camp star subject of Emirates Stadium interest.
Arsenal will look to lure Barcelona youngster Cristian Tello to the Emirates Stadium this summer after a series of scouting missions conducted by the North London side established their interest in the 20 year old Nou Camp attacker.
Wenger has had an eye on Tello for some months and is eager to take advantage of the fact that his current contract is set to come to an end this summer, leaving him available on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Cristian Tello is an up and coming attacker who may feel that he could struggle to break through at the Nou Camp given that the likes of Lionel Messi, Alexis Sanchez, David Villa, Pedro and Isaac Cuenca stand in his way in the striking and wide areas that he plies his trade in.
The young attacker has been very effective when called upon this term, netting four goals in eight appearances this season and Pep Guardiola has handed the youngster more first team action in order to persuade the one time Espanyol youth team players to put pen to paper on a new deal.
Tello could feel that his chances of pushing into the Barcelona first team on a regular basis could hold back his progress and may be tempted by a move to the Emirates Stadium.
The local born starlet can be used either out wide or as an orthodox striker and that adaptability may well tempt Wenger into offering the young Spaniard an attractive contract as he looks to tempt land Tello ahead of a number of other prospective suitors, said to include Liverpool, Valencia and Malaga.
