Anfield side keen on Colombian international.
Liverpool target Armero after holding talks over £5.5m deal for Udinese man
Liverpool are considering a move for Udinese star Pablo Armero.
The Colombian’s representatives were at QPR on Wednesday night to hold talks with senior figures at the Anfield club.
The 25-year-old is valued at around £5.5million and can play left midfield or left-back.

Whilst Pablo Armero is a very able left sided option that could well tempt many prospective suitors, one does wonder why Kenny Dalglish needs to bring in players for the left flank when it would appear that the need for a more natural right sided winger would be a more pressing issue to deal with.
Currently the Anfield side have the excellent Jose Enrique in the left back slot with Stewart Downing more often than not ahead of him, with Craig Bellamy as a back-up option.
Whilst it’s true that Downing has had an up and down season it doesn’t seem likely that Kenny Dalglish would look to replace a player who cost the Merseyside club £20m just last summer.
On the right Liverpool have had to use the likes of Jordan Henderson and Dirk Kuyt, neither of whom are natural fits for the spot so Dalglish would do well to consider filling that area of the pitch to add more balance to his side.
Indeed Liverpool have been linked to Armero’s team-mate Mauricio Isla, who could well be the right man to fill that troublesome area, though one would imagine the highly rated Chilean would cost a lot more than the £5.5m this source believes it would take to land Armero.
