White Hart Lane side keen on former Chelsea winger.
Tottenham looking to spend as much as £25 million on Dutch superstar
Reports coming out of the German media are claiming that Tottenham are preparing to make a bid of £25 Million for unhappy Bayern Munich star, Arjen Robben.
It is common knowledge within Germany that Robben is unhappy at Bayern and would welcome a move away from the Munich club, it is also thought that he would welcome a move back to the Premiership, thus the apparent interest from Tottenham.
Arjen Robben has seen his career resurrected at the Allianz Arena after a shaky period at Real Madrid but there is mounting
speculation that the Dutch international is not happy at Bayern Munich and that he could be persuaded to leave the Bavarian based club. Could a move back to the Premier League tempt the Dutch international?
Though Tottenham have Gareth Bale as a consistent force on the left wing perhaps Harry Redknapp sees the 28 year old Bayern Munich man as a preferable option to England winger Aaron Lennon who’s form can at times be very patchy. Robben has been a big success in Germany and as well as creating chances for his team-mates he has also notched up a very impressive total of 50 goals from 79 appearances since his move from the Bernabeu in the summer of 2009.
A move away from Bayern Munich may prove more likely if Jupp Heynckes’ side fails to wrestle the Bundesliga crown from Borussia Dortmund, who look a good bet to retain the title this term.
