Emirates Stadium boss plans forward cull. Arsene Wenger looks to freshen things up front.
Wenger is resolved to sell Chamakh this summer, with his shisha escapade the final straw for the Gunners manager.
Arsenal will also put Nicklas Bendtner, Park Chu-young and Carlos Vela up for sale, clearing the path for Giroud’s arrival.

Arsenal have been far too reliant on Robin Van Persie for goals for the past few seasons and it’s no major surprise that Arsene Wenger would look to freshen things up in his attack as far too many in his squad have failed to make an impact.
Marouane Chamakh arrived at the North London club on a free so any fee the Gunners manage to get for the 28 year old Moroccan would be considered a bonus. The former Bordeaux man has scored just one Premier League goal since November 2010 after a relatively bright start to his Arsenal career.
Nicklas Bendtner is on loan at Sunderland and scoring fairly frequently but there are doubts about whether Martin O’Neill is willing to meet the asking price for the Danish international. His valuation could increase if he has a good showing at the Euro 2012 finals.
Carlos Vela is also out on loan, at La Liga side Real Sociedad, and the Mexican international is said to be keen on making the temporary move a permanent one.
Perhaps looking to sell South Korean Park Chu-Young could be deemed as harsh given that the former Monaco man has made just one Premier League appearance, and that as a sub, since his summer move to the Emirates Stadium. For whatever reason the forward has not impressed Wenger because clearly if he had faith in the 26 year old then he would have used him more than he has done.
