Sir Alex Ferguson looks to improve his Premier League table topping Old Trafford squad this summer.
MANCHESTER UNITED plan to sign a winger in the summer with Athletic Bilbao’s Iker Muniain the new target.
But Muniain, only 19 and already valued at £25million, has been on Fergie’s radar since impressing against United in the Europa League.
Despite having Antonio Valencia, Nani and Ashley Young, Fergie likes options in wide areas and United have a tradition of playing with wingers.

Iker Muniain is indeed a top quality talent and having gone face to face with the young Spaniard, when Athletic Bilbao unceremoniously dumped Man United out of the Europa League, Sir Alex Ferguson has seen first hand just what the winger is capable.
Whilst clearly Man United have a fair few top notch wide options the Spanish teenager fits Ferguson’s youthful transfer policy and clearly has the potential to make a big impact, perhaps bigger than the Basque club he plays for can provide him with.
Muniain has already notched up over 120 appearances for his La Liga side and like a number of his team-mates, Javi Martinez and Fernando Llorente most notably, Bilbao may struggle to prevent big fish from fishing in their relatively small pond.
