Suarez has experienced a somewhat turbulent season at the Merseyside club, leading to reports that he could be sold on this summer. Recent reports have linked the Uruguay international with the likes of Paris St Germain and Juventus, but Suarez believes his future lies in Liverpool.
“I will continue at Liverpool” said Suarez. “I have four years left on my contract and I am very happy and I hope good things continue.”
Suarez saw a dip in form following the aftermath of his eight-match ban for racially abusing United defender Evra, but believes the episode is now behind him.
“I am over that,” he said. “The important thing was the support from all the people. There is no need to talk about that as it is already in the past.”
The Uruguay international has been one of Liverpool’s better signings over the past two seasons, with the likes of Andy Carroll, Jordan Henderson, Charlie Adam and Stewart Downing all failing to live up to their expensive price tags.
Liverpool enjoyed an impressive win over rivals Everton in the FA semi-final on Saturday, meaning the Anfield club are just one victory away from winning their second trophy of the season.
