Eden Hazard has admitted this season that he would relish the opportunity to play in the Premier League, but the 21-year-old is yet to put pen to paper in a deal that would see him move to England.
Newcastle midfielder and former team-mate of the winger, Cabaye, believes that while Spurs would be a good club for the youngster, Arsenal’s similarities to Lille would make for a more suitable move.
Reports throughout the season claim that Arsene Wenger is keen on landing the signature of the young Belgian international, and Hazard may feel that the somewhat guarantee of regular Champions League football with Arsenal is enough for them to secure his signature.
“Eden and England, it would go very well together,” Cabaye told L’Equipe.
“Tottenham is a good club even if right now, there are some troubles with the coach. Arsenal, it would be really good.
“Lille is quite similar to both in terms of game or mind. After, I do not know if he is in touch with the Gunners but I think it would be the right club for him.”
Hazard has enjoyed a fantastic season at Lille, with an impressive 13 goals and 17 assists to his name. The young winger also has an impressive 26 caps for his native Belgium.
