Wigan stiker Victor Moses has confirmed that he is to leave the DW stadium this summer, putting Premier League sides on red alert.
The 21-year-old has blossomed this season since being given the task of filling the void left by ex teammate Charles N’Zogbia. Moses has improved the Latics with some much needed flare in front of goal this season, providing Roberto Martinez’s side with the attacking flamboyancy they so craved last season.
The Nigeria-born winger, made the move to Wigan from Crystal Palace in 2010 and is out of contract at the DW in the summer of 2013. It has been reported that it is unlikely that he will renew his contract, with a bid in the region of £8million rumored to be enough to convince Wigan to sell come summer.
The likes of Tottenham and Liverpool have both expressed an interest in the striker, and his agent Tony Finnigan believes the 21-year-old will have his pick of the Premier League’s top sides this summer. Speaking to SuperSport.com, Finnigan said:
“This is how it works here (in England). Victor Moses has just a year left on his contract with Wigan Athletic and we were about to start talks on the extension when he said he does not want to sign a new deal.
“Victor Moses has played himself into a position where virtually every club in the Premier League want to sign him. All of the Premier League clubs will be strengthening in the summer and we are not surprised that Moses has been linked with virtually every team in the top division.”
Moses has scored six goals in 69 appearances for Wigan.
