The Ajax midfielder has enjoyed a fantastic season for the Dutch side, with eight goals and 20 assists in 42 appearances to his name. Following impressive performances in Europe too, many of Europe’s elite have been put on red alert.
Eriksen’s agent recently announced to Calciomercato that there has been interest from AC Milan and other big European clubs but talks are yet to open, with the agent stating Eriksen needed to concentrate on this season and his development in Holland.
“Ajax have a great chance of winning it (the league). So right now I prefer not to add pressure to the boy,” said Schoots Martin.
The agent also admitted to AC Milan and Manchester City showing an interest, however Martin isn’t sure his client is ready for a club like City, saying:
“I don’t know if he’s ready for the club so important, but he certainly has the qualities to do well in all leagues. At this time, however, his task is to grow at Ajax.”
Eriksen has been regarded as one of Europe’s most talented youngsters for a while now but is still only 20-years-old. He was the youngest player to participate in the 2010 World Cup and is expected to be a big part of Denmark’s team for Euro 2012 this summer.
