Reports coming out of Germany this morning are linking former Real Madrid forward Raul with Premier League sides Newcastle and Fulham.
The Tyneside club are considering an audacious bid for the Madrid legend, who is due to play his last game for German club Schalke this weekend.
Raul has scored an impressive 40 goals in 98 games for the Bundesliga outfit and clearly feels he has more to give at the highest level.
Raul’s family were apparently keen to stay in the German city, but the former Spain international has his sights sets on moving to another European league or trying his hand with a Qatari outfit for one last substantial payday.
According to reports in Spain, Premier League’s Newcastle and Fulham have approached Raul’s representatives regarding a switch to England and hope the lure of a crack at the Premier League would appeal to him.
The 34-year-old played his last home game over the weekend and both Premier Leauge clubs will be keeping close tabs on the player’s activity this summer.
