Shocking is not a strong enough word for it. Yesterday the Gunners youngster posted a truly disturbing image of a dead man who had a fair chunk of his head missing along with the words ‘This is what they did to some1 in Africa for stealing’. The midfielder posted the tweet with no warning and it would have pinged up on the feeds of his nigh on half a million followers, some of whom would be children.
We have not posted the image because it is grotesque in the extreme and for a professional footballer, or indeed anyone in the public eye, to make such an error of judgement is frankly mind boggling. Frankly his apology seems half-hearted and one would’ve thought that if anyone posted such a picture on their Twitter feed they would promptly be banned from the social networking site and perhaps this would be the best solution all round at Emmanuel Frimpong has some serious issues relating to his judgement and one would imagine that Arsenal will ask him to close his account before he makes another similar mistake.
