The Toffees boss may well hope that he can keep his star turns but the financial predicament the Merseyside club finds itself in may well negate his wishes.
Of the trio named by this source as potentially exit bound Leighton Baines may be the toughest player to keep at the club as a number of Premier League sides are said to be keen on acquiring the services of the talented full-back. The likes of Liverpool and Man United have both been linked with the former Wigan man.
Marouane Fellaini is similarly chased and there was even talk of interest from Real Madrid and the Belgian may feel that after four seasons skirting near the top four spots that it could be time to consider offers.
Nikica Jelavic seems the least likely to leave given that the former Rangers man only arrived in January and has already become a fan favourite due to his determined performances and his knack of scoring goals at an alarming rate.
The likes of Jack Rodwell and Ross Barkley could also prove tough to keep at Goodison Park this summer.
