Old Trafford and Allianz Arena sides want Toffess defender.
OLD Champions League foes Manchester United and Bayern Munich will go toe-to-toe this summer to win the race for Leighton Baines.
Sir Alex Ferguson has kept a close check on the Everton left-back, 27, as a long-term replacement for Patrice Evra and has had Baines monitored for the last two years.
Ferguson was hoping to snatch him for a cut-price £5million but Everton’s top brass will only talk at £15m.

Leighton Baines is perhaps one of the most consistent full backs in the Premier League and by all accounts Sir Alex Ferguson is looking for a long term replacement for Patrice Evra and sees the England international as a suitable successor. David Moyes will be loathed to lose any of his star performers but the financial situation the Goodison Park sides finds themselves in means that any offers will almost certainly be considered.
Bayern Munich attempted to lure Baines to the Allianz Arena a couple of years ago and appear ready to renew their interest in the 27 year old this summer.
Man United will have no chance of nabbing the Toffees full-back for the £5m fee this source claims Ferguson is willing to offer but bids in the region of £15m would be hard to turn down, especially if the former Wigan man were to push for an Everton exit.
