AC Milan veteran Clarence Seedorf is interesting Tottenham.
Seedorf is coming off contract and feels he still has “two or three years” left playing at the highest level.
This would be something of a surprise. Clarence Seedorf is perhaps one of the most decorated footballers of his generation and the fact that the Dutchman is out of contract at his San Siro side may well lead to a great deal of interest but would Harry Redknapp join the race for a player aged 36?
Redknapp is well known for his penchant for ‘wheeling and dealing’ in the transfer market and he may well feel the need to strengthen his midfield options and whilst Seedorf may still have a season or two in the tank, one wonders if there is much value in bringing the ageing midfielder to the North London club.
With the likes of Scott Parker, Luka Modric and Sandro available for selection in a central midfield role and with Tom Huddlestone and Jermaine Jenas on call as back-ups a move for Seedorf could perhaps be a pointless exercise and no doubt the AC Milan man would command a fairly hefty wage packet.
Seedorf has racked up over 800 club appearances in a career that has included five domestic title triumphs in three countries as well as four Champions League winners models to boot.
