Arsenal are currently heading a long queue of clubs interested in Blackburn midfielder Steven N’Zonzi following Rovers’ relegation from the Premier League.
Despite Blackburn’s poor league campaign that culminated in their demotion to the Championship, N’Zonzi was one of a few standout performers and has been a pivotal player for the club since moving from French side Amiens in 2009.

N’Zonzi may be just one of many exit bound Blackburn Rovers players as the Ewood Park side gets used to life in the Championship and surely the young midfield battler would jump at the chance of a move to the Emirates Stadium, but is he a player Arsene Wenger needs?
The big former French Under 21 international is a bruising midfielder and perhaps this is an area the Gunners boss will look to beef up this summer. Alex Song has become a more complete performer of late, notching up 14 assists last term, and Emmanuel Frimpong may still be too raw for regular first team action.
Steven N’Zonzi now has almost 100 top tier appearances on his CV and is a player with potential that Wenger may well be able to make the most of. Also he would surely not cost a great deal.
