Speaking to Canal+ Eden Hazard paid special attention to potential interest from Champions League Winners Chelsea
“My agent has met with Manchester, and with Chelsea; they give good offers and are great clubs. I don’t know. It’s not been finalised yet.
“As long as I’ve not put pen to paper, I won’t say where I’m going.
“Chelsea makes you hesitate. They’ve won the Champions League and they’ll be in it next season.
“For now, nothing’s been decided, but it will be soon. Now I want to join up with the national team and then go on holiday. It’ll do me a lot of good.”
So should this get Blues fans excited? Well certainly the fact that highly rated Belgian international has added Chelsea to the list of Premier League side’s he may be keen to sign is good news for the West London club and evidence that winning Europe’s premier club trophy may give the Stamford Bridge side an upper hand in the pursuit of high-ranking targets.
For the 21 year old to make an extended reference to a possible Chelsea one would imagine that the youngster had been alerted to genuine interest from owner Roman Abramovich who will no doubt be looking to improve his squad, who only managed a sixth place finish in the Premier League last term, some 25 points off the top of the table.
