Pole star: Are United set to offer Berba to land Lewandowski?
Bulgarian forward could seal Borussia Dortmund switch after another season of Old Trafford frustration
Manchester United could use Dimitar Berbatov as bait to land highly-rated Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski.
Reports say the deposed English champions are eager to land the 23-year-old Pole before he goes on show at Euro 2012, possibly raising his transfer fee to a level beyond United.

Will Jurgen Klopp be keen on this deal? If he does indeed feel he is set to lose Robert Lewandowski, and may well also see Shinji Kagawa on his way this summer as well, will the inclusion of Dimitar Berbatov into the bargain?
Regardless of how little faith Sir Alex Ferguson has in the Bulgarian international the 31 year old is actually in the best goal-scoring form of his career. Last term he finished joint top scorer in the Premier League, helped Man United to the title and what thanks did he get? Well no thanks as it seems.
The former Tottenham man found himself falling down the pecking order and was handed just five Premier League starts all season. Nonetheless Berbatov still managed to net seven goals and still has a lot to offer and of course has Bundesliga experience.
During his six year spell at Bayer Leverkusen Berbatov helped his side to a Champions League final and netted a very healthy 91 goals in 201 appearances, form that earned him a move to Tottenham and then to a record breaking Old Trafford move.
Robert Lewandowski has been in fine form this term, his 30 goals helping to keep out usual regular Lucas Barrios, now it seems Sir Alex Ferguson sees the Polish international as another attacking option he feels he needs to beef up Man United’s firepower. With Michael Owen gone and Javier Hernandez having a poor second season a move for the 23 year old would be a sensible one to consider.
