This source claims that Roman Abramovich will look to spend big this summer as he hopes to improve his squad so that the Blues can compete for the Premier League title. The West London side finished a massive 25 points off the pace last term and the Russia billionaire is hoping to bridge that gap with major transfer plans when the window re-opens next month.
Chief among his attacking targets is apparently Atletico Madrid’s Radamel Falcao, who managed 36 goals in his debut season for the Vicente Calderon side but the Colombian’s goals were not enough to secure a spot in the Champions League and therefore he may well be tempted by a move to the Premier League side.
