Martinez D-Day: Kop target to reveal future on Tuesday at Wigan press conference
Wigan are set to hold a press conference on Tuesday where Roberto Martinez will announce his future plans, it is understood.
Martinez has been heavily linked with the vacancy at Liverpool and is expected to reveal next week whether he will stay with the Latics or leave.
It is understood the 38-year-old met the Reds’ owners in Miami this week to discuss the managerial vacancy and was not put off by the huge rebuilding job at Anfield.
However, it is understood Martinez has not made his mind up completely whether to accept that challenge and has given himself until Tuesday to do so.

Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has already revealed that his boss Roberto Martinez has been made an offer by the Anfield side and it appears that Liverpool’s owners will find out tomorrow if the Spaniard does indeed take the club up on their offer.
The 38 year old has been in Miami holding talks with principal owner John Henry and the Latics manager has been given a deadline by Whelan to announce his intentions so that Wigan can then go about either appointing a replacement or to make plans for the coming season with Martinez.
A number of managers have been linked with the vacant Liverpool post but as yet no one has been given the job. Roberto Martinez is a big favourite will all bookmakers and appears to be the most likely to take the job, though the relatively long delay between an offer being made and a decision being reached may lead some to speculate that the former Swansea City boss is weighing up his options.
