Exclusive: Mourinho in the hunt for Drogba as striker wavers over China move
Didier Drogba is considering a reunion with former mentor Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid.
The 34-year-old is wanted by the Spanish champions and talks have taken place between representatives of the two parties over a two-year contract.

If indeed Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho was keen to bring the Ivory Coast international to the Bernabeu, and reunite with his former Blues forward, then surely the Chelsea veteran would find it hard to turn down such an offer. Given that the La Liga side have broken Barcelona’s stranglehold and seen Pep Guardiola leave the Nou Camp, this may well be the best time to consider a move to the Spanish giants.
Real Madrid may well be in need of another striking option as currently they rely heavily on attacking midfielder Cristiano Ronaldo for goals and have only two recognised strikers in their first team squad, Gonzalo Higuain and Karim Benzema.
Though Drogba is 34 years of age the Chelsea man showed he is not lacking stamina or footballing ability, as evidenced by his 120 minute display in the Champions League Final triumph, during which he leveled for the West London side and put away the decisive spot-kick in the penalty shoot-out.
Didier Drogba has already announced his intention to leave Stamford Bridge and did seem likely to join former team-mate Nicolas Anelka at Chinese big spenders Shanghai Shenhua but perhaps a move to Real Madrid will trump a move to the Far-East.
