So there you have it. The BBC are reporting a deal is all but done that will see Northern Irish boss Brendan Rodgers fill the vacant manager’s hot-seat at Anfield. The 39 year old will take permanent charge of Liverpool, ending the ongoing speculation about whom the club’s American owners would turn to following their sacking of Scot Kenny Dalglish.
The former Watford and Reading boss has impressed at the Liberty Stadium, taking the Welsh side back to the top tier for the first time in nearly 30 years, what’s more the former Chelsea youth team coach did so at the first time of asking. He followed that achievement by taking the Swans to a respectable 11th place finish on their Premier League debut.
