Paul Lambert has been a remarkable success as Canaries boss and though it will no doubt sting the Carrow Road faithful to see the Scot leave they will no doubt with their former manager well at Villa Park. The 42 year old guided Norwich City to back to back promotions and followed that up with a respectable 12th place in finish in their first season back in the top tier.
No doubt Aston Villa fans will be glad to see the former Borussia Dortmund and Celtic midfielder at the helm having seeing Alex McLeish preside over a particularly poor season in charge of the Midlands which saw them flirt with the relegation zone for much of the campaign.
McLeish was never a popular appointment, mainly due to his previous management of rivals Birmingham City, who he relegated to the Championship in the previous season.
