QPR are to complete the signing of Robert Green in the next 24 hours.
Former England ‘keeper Green is a free-agent after leaving West Ham earlier this month and will be handed a three-year deal at Loftus Road, reports Sky Sports News.
The 32-year-old started his career at Norwich City, making 241 appearances before joining West Ham in 2006. He made 219 League appearances for the Hammers and was named the club’s runner-up player of the year as they were relegated from the Premiership in 2010/11.
Green has 12 international but has not played for England since he disastrously let Clint Dempsey’s tame shot slip underneath him as the Three Lions slumped to a 1-1 draw with the USA in the opening match of World Cup 2010 in Rustenburg.
Tottenham Hotspur and West Brom were also interested in Green but Hoops boss Mark Hughes looks set to win the race for his signature.
