Having already snapped up Jussi Jaaskelainen ‘Big’ Sam Allardyce is clearly looking to beef up his back-line ahead of West Ham’s return to the top flight and a move for experienced centre back James Collins makes a great deal of sense but one wonders if Paul Lambert is willing to see the Welsh international for £3m.
28 year old Collins spent four years at Upton Park prior to moving to Villa Park in the summer of 2009, his previous spell at the East London club was marred by injuries and resulted in the former Cardiff City man making just 51 league starts.
