French striker Louis Saha has said he hopes current France coach Laurent Blanc turns down any Premier League advances, including from his own Tottenham Hotspur.
The 33-year-old is still under contract at White Hart Lane, although he is expected to be released at the beginning of next month, and Spurs are thought to be interesting in speaking to Blanc about the vacant manager’s position.
But the former Man United and Everton forward is keen for Blanc to stay with the national team beyond the end of the European Championships.
“He’s a top manager,” Saha told talkSPORT.
“He’ll always have interest. I can imagine him being in the Premier League because of his experience. I want him to stay in the job for France because he has been doing a terrific job so I wouldn’t like him to go to the Premier League yet.”
Saha is wanted by Sunderland and has also been linked with a return to Goodison Park.
