Striker wants Stamford Bridge switch.
Porto striker Hulk says he does not want to move to PSG – as he holds out for a move to Chelsea.
The 25-year-old looked set for a £38m move to Stamford Bridge recently but the potential deal has been held up as the two clubs continue to discuss terms over the fee.
Hulk is eager to join Chelsea and has spoken of his intention to play in west London – but PSG are in the running too.
The Ligue 1 club, banked by ambitious Qatari owners, want to sign Hulk but he says he doesn’t want to move to Paris, with Chelsea his favoured destination.
Hulk told O Jogo: “Chelsea are the champions of Europe and any player would like to go there.
“I would like to go there more than any other club. But I have to remember that I have a contract at Porto and I am very happy here too.”
Brazilian goal machine Hulk couldn’t make it any clearer that he wants to join Chelsea, a club that clearly want the FC Porto forward, and now all that appears to stand between the 25 year old moving to West London and not PSG comes down to whether Blues owner Roman Abramovich is willing to match or better the French sides offer.
With Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou gone there is certainly a need for a new attacking option, especially if Fernando Torres picks up where he left off and continues to fail to justify the £50m invested in his services.
Hulk has been scoring goals for fun in Portugal for a few years now and has seemingly outgrown Porto and now that he has become more of a fixture in Brazil’s national team set-up, scoring three goals in his last two international appearances. The Campina Grande born striker may feel he has a better chance of remaining in Mano Menezes’s plan if he makes a high-profile move this summer.
