Moyes keen on Dutchman.
Everton have joined the race for Inter Milan’s forgotten striker Luc Castaignos but will face competition from Tottenham and Newcastle for his signature, according to talkSPORT.
The 19-year-old is set to leave the San Siro this summer after enduring a miserable season at Inter. The 6’2″ forward has played just six times in black and blue, scoring once, since joining from Feyenoord in summer 2011.
Everton boss David Moyes is desperate for a new striker and could be ready to take a gamble on the pacey forward, who dazzled during his two seasons in the Eredivisie.
Moyes will face competition from Newcastle and Spurs, although the Magpies are more interested in Castaignos’ compatriot, Luuk de Jong, while Spurs are currently without a manager, leaving Everton in pole position for his signature.
The Toffees are also interested in Croatia front-man Mario Mandzukic but a string of impressive performances at Euro 2012 may mean the Wolfsburg striker is priced out of a move to Goodison Park.
